Announcing the 2021 U.S. Earth Science Team

Congratulations to the 2021 U.S. Earth Science Team! The 14th IESO is hosted by Russia in a virtual format.

These 8 students were chosen from the annual U.S. Earth Science Training Camp, which invites ~40 of the most promising high school Earth scientists to participate in a week-long program of advanced Earth science exams, lectures, and presentations.

Jaime Yu – Lexington High School, MA
Inimai Subramanian – Mission San Jose High School, CA
Peter Bennett – Foothill High School, CA
SydneyBlu Garcia-Yao – Harriton High School, PA
Emmy Bonser – Davidson Academy, NV
Daniel Zhang – Lexington High School, MA
Rohit Hari – William G. Enloe High School, NC
Titus Tsai – Mission San Jose High School, CA

While normally these students would travel to the International Earth Science Olympiad, this year they will be participating in remote international team events in which they present original research and analysis based on environmental data they collect in their local communities.

Please follow our page for updates regarding future iterations of the U.S. Earth Science Training Camp and IESO (and please spread the word to students you think may be interested)!
